AGDA

The Australian Graphic Design Association (AGDA) was founded in 1988 and is the nation organization for profession graphic designers consisting of more then 2,600 members. The main objective was to facilitate the advancement of the graphic design profession in Australia.

AGDA aims to provide the establishment of fair and productive working relationships between graphic designers and their clients. AGDA provides designers with the information and tools to take control of their professional lives and work extensively on increasing awareness of the value and importance of the graphic design industry in business, education and culture.

The members have access to awards, exhibitions, seminars and professional development activities many of these are also available to the wider design and business communities.

AGDA operates through State councils throughout Australia. A National Council. Which is made up of State Representatives and selected national advisors, coordinates activities on a national basis.
